Peru host The World Forum on Food Tourism as they once again, serve as the ideal setting for an international culinary event. Next year, the 2nd World Forum on Food Tourism, an event sponsored by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Basque Culinary Center (BCC) of Spain, will be held in this country.
An estimated 200 participants will attend the forum in April of 2016, including tourism and culinary experts, who will have the opportunity to enjoy this event surrounded by the vibrant culinary culture of Peru.
The first edition of the World Forum on Food Tourism took place in San Sebastian (Spain) at the end of last April and brought together experts from all over the world, including Peruvian chef Mitsuharu Tsumura. Key topics addressed included the public sector’s role in the ideal development of food tourism.
Another topic discussed was how to improve food tourism management at an international level, due to the important role food plays in tourism experiences. Against this backdrop, Peru will host an event that seeks to promote respect for tradition and the culinary encounters which food tourism offers people from all over the world.
