Too late for Inca Trail?

Today, 11 January 2016, the official permit booking system for Inca Trail permits will open. It is a very chaotic time as all Inca Trail operators (more than 250) scurry to get their bookings processed and secure permits for their clients.

Often the months of March through to June sell out during this opening week.  There are 500 permits per day available – part of this allowance includes staff such as porters, so you can assume that half of the allowance is for staff and the other for tourists.

If you are too late and missed getting a permit do not be disappointed because there are alternative routes to Machupicchu that are just as beautiful and rewarding as the Inca Trails. We recommend looking at the Lares Valley Trail or the Salkantay Nature Trail – wonderful options that you do not need a permit for. We can depart on any date with a minimum of 2 persons.

See : Lares Valley Trek and Salkantay Trek for great alternative options.

If you have any questions feel free to enquire at any time!
