Short Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Lima and overnight.
Day 2 Flight from Lima to Cusco. City tour in the afternoon.
Day 3 Sacred Valley tour visiting Awanacancha cultural village, Pisac ruins, Pisac market and Ollantaytambo.
Day 4 Mid-morning train to Aguas calientes. Free day, perhaps enjoy the hot springs.
Day 5 Sunrise tour of Machupicchu with leisure time afterwards. Afternoon train to Ollantaytambo and overnight.
Day 6 Private tour of Maras, Moray, Salineras and Chincheros ending in Cusco.
Day 7 Free day in Cusco.
Day 8 Travel on touristic bus with stops enroute to Puno ( Lake Titicaca).
Day 9 2D/1N Tour of Lake Titicaca
Day 10 Continue Tour and overnight Puno
Day 11 Small group transfer from Puno to Chivay ( Colca Canyon ). Enjoy the hot springs at Calera.
Day 12 Early rise to see the Andean condor in flight. Visit some villages and after lunch transfer to Arequipa.
Day 13 Private morning city Tour. Afternoon free.
Day 14 Flight from Arequipa to Lima. Private Lima City Tour and Flight Home.

Tour Itinerary

Being your adventure from Lima, the Cusco Machu Picchu Tour offers the best of Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and with a little time in Lima.

Day 1: Arrival to Lima

Greeting and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : Lima – Cusco

We transfer you to the airport for your early morning flight to Cusco. On arrival our Team will meet you and transfer you by private car to your hotel in the centre of Cusco. In the afternoon you have a Private City Tour visiting the most important sites of Cusco.

Day 3 : Sacred Valley

This morning you will depart on a full day Private Sacred Valley Tour. We will visit the cultural village of Awanacancha, then the market of Pisac where you can sample delicious fresh bread that this area is known for. The market has a wide variety of handicrafts to choose from and a nice chance to purchase some gifts here. From the market we drive up the Pisac Ruins where we will learn all about the different culturals that lived in this area. You will walk for around 1.5 hours up here. Time for lunch and we head to Urubamba where you will stop at a touristic restaurant for lunch.

We now make our way to the pretty Andean town of Ollantaytambo where we explore the impressive ruins and the quaint cobbled streets. You overnight here.

Day 4 : Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We take an early morning train to Aguas Calientes. On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. Today is a free day to enjoy this little town and perhaps the hot springs!

Day 5 : Machupicchu – Ollantaytambo

An early rise as we take one of the first buses up to Machupicchu for your Private sunrise tour! You will visit the most important sites and temples of this amazing citadel with your Private Guide.

After the tour you will have leisure time to explore on your own. In the afternoon we return back via train to Ollantaytambo where you will overnight.

Day 6 : Ollantaytambo – Cusco

Your guide will meet you at the hotel this morning and we continue further exploring the Sacred Valley. We start making our way back to Cusco and will stop enroute at the little town of Maras which is the gateway to the Inca circular terraces of Moray commonly referred to as the “Inca Greenhouse” due to the fact that it is believed these terraces were used to experiment with growing crops at various levels of altitude. From here we visit the ancient saltworks of Salineras where salt is still being farmed using the age-old techniques.

From here we make our way to the market town of Chincheros where we will visit the market and the pretty colonial church in this town. We then continue back to Cusco and leave you in your hotel in the early afternoon.

Day 7 : Cusco

Free day.

Day 8 : Cusco – Lake Titicaca

This morning we travel on touristic bus to Lake Titicaca down the AltiPlano. There are several interesting stops enroute – Raqchi, Andahuaylillas, La Raya and Pukara. We stop for lunch in Sicuani. On arrival in Puno you will be met and transferred to your hotel .

Day 9 : Lake Titicaca

Our Representative will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to the Port of Puno. Today we will venture out on Lake Titicaca – our first stop will be the Floating Islands of Uros. From here we continue to Amantani Island where we stay with a local Family tonight.

Day 10 : Lake Titicaca

Enjoy breakfast with your family before continuing onwards to the Isle of Taquile. Here we find beautiful local costumes and hand woven products. In the late afternoon we return to the Port of Puno and transfer back to your hotel.

Day 11 : Puno – Chivay (Colca Canyon)

Today we transfer you in group service from Puno to Chivay in the Colca Canyon. The drive takes around 5-6 hours. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You can enjoy the natural hot springs here!

Day 12 : Colca Canyon – Arequipa

We have an early departure at 06h00 to the viewpoint of Condor Cross (Cruz del Condor) where we can observe the majestic condor in flight. On our return we stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque that have beautiful colonial churches. We also stop enroute for lunch in Chivay and afterwards connect with our group transportation to Arequipa. We transfer you to your hotel.

Day 13 : Arequipa – Lima

We collect you from your hotel for a Private City Tour. Our first stop is the Santa Catalina Monastery, a wonderful place that housed the nuns of Arequipa for centuries. Later on we will walk around the main square of Arequipa, a nice spot surrounded by colonial arches. At the main plaza we will visit the interiors of magnificent Cathedral of Arequipa. Later on we visit the Museum of Santuarios Andinos where we will see the Mummy named Juanita, an amazing frozen body of a little girl found at the cold slopes of the Ampato Mountain. The tour lasts approx. 4 hours.

Day 14 : Lima – Home

This morning you will have a Private Tour of Lima. The tour lasts just over 3.5 hours visiting sites of Modern and Colonial Lima. You are returned to your hotel after the tour and in the evening we collect you to transfer you back to the airport for your flight home.

Note: This program can be modified if you want to eliminate some days or add in days. We can also include one of our trekking programs to Machupicchu if you prefer. Please ask us!
